Onboarded connects to your domain and sends emails to your candidates using your email address. With Microsoft disabling the Basic authentication feature and moving towards Modern Auth, here is how you can migrate from your current SMTP setup to Modern Auth in a few simple steps. This is only relevant if you are using Microsoft Office 365 as your email supplier. If unsure, check with your IT team.
In Onboarded, you will need admin access to link your email account with Onboarded platform. Below are steps to follow:
- In your dashboard, click on the cogwheel located in the top right corner.
- Click on the General Settings from the menu options.
- Under Branding click on Email Setup.
- On the pop-up window click on Sign in with Microsoft.
- Sign in using the credentials of your Company's email account that you would like your candidates to receive the onboarding invite from.
Note: Make sure you are signing in using the credentials of your company's generic email address that you'd like to use as from email when sending onboarding invites to your candidates. |
- Follow the prompts and enter all the required information and click on Accept on the permission screen as seen below:
- Once successfully authenticated, ensure your settings are working by sending a test email to yourself.
Note: The system won't allow you to hit the complete button to save the settings till you have successfully tested the new settings. |
- Click on the Complete button and you should see the successful connection message below:
- Your Modern Authentication setup is now complete!
